ABOUT US

About Our Practice

Dr. Veronica Tovar didn’t plan to build an airway-focused practice. For years, she did what most general dentists do: restorative care, TMD treatment, hygiene, and routine exams. But patterns began to emerge. Patients were tired, even with healthy mouths. Kids were clenching, mouth breathing, and waking at night. Many had been told nothing was wrong.
She started noticing it at home, too. Her own children had crowded teeth and tongue restrictions that hadn’t raised flags. Once she understood what to look for, everything changed. She retrained, restructured her approach, and began practicing with a deeper focus on breathing, growth, and functional wellness.
Today, every decision in the practice begins with a question: what is the root cause? Whether it’s airway orthodontics, oral appliance therapy, expansion, or muscle retraining, the goal is to support natural development and long-term function through care that meets each patient where they are.

Mission and Philoophy

This practice exists because too many people are told they’re fine when they know something feels off. Dr. Tovar experienced that with her own children. She heard it from families. She saw it in patients who had spent years treating symptoms without real answers.
Our mission is to offer care that looks beyond the surface. We study how breathing, sleep, development, and oral structure connect, and how imbalance in one area can affect everything else. By understanding the airway, the muscles, and how the tongue and jaws grow and function, we can treat the whole system, not just the symptoms.
Every consultation begins with clarity. That includes 3D imaging, sleep and health questionnaires, clinical photographs, and a conversation about your concerns and goals. We work collaboratively with specialists like myofunctional therapists and bodyworkers to support healing from every angle.

Dr. Veronica Tovar, DDS

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Tovar brings a balance of precision, empathy, and perspective to her work. She started in general dentistry, then advanced her skills through training in full-mouth rehabilitation, complex TMD care, and cosmetic restorations with the Dawson Academy. She has completed training with the Breathe Institute, the Coulson Institute, Airway Health Solutions, Myomunchee and Vivos Therapeutics.  The learning is ongoing and never stops as research and experience prevails.
She brings a perspective shaped by both clinical training and personal experience, which allows her to see what others might miss. She approaches each case like she would her own children, looking closely, thinking critically, and treating with compassion. She knows how easily early signs get missed and how hard it can be to find answers when you don’t fit a standard diagnosis. Her practice is built to change that.
